First time directors with POPs need to ask a board member to be your producer. Director * Props Mistress/Master * Master Carpenter * Seamstress(es) * Lighting Designer/Light Board Operator * Sound Designer/Sound Board Operator * Stage Manager * Program Designer Do not worry if you do not have people for all positions - that's what a producer is there for! ABOUT THE SHOW This is a synopsis of your show. CASTING How many men and women are in the show and if it is a musical how many members of the chorus are you looking to cast. ORCHESTRA If proposing a musical, please list the instruments you need for your orchestra (MTIShows.com is good about listing this for their musicals) SET Ideas you have about the set(s). How many different locations do you need? LIGHTS and SOUND Lights: Give an idea of what kind of lighting you want. Spots, projector, or simple. Sound: Does your show have a lot of sound effects? Do you need microphones? Give an idea of what sound you need. COSTUMES What type of costumes do you need for your show? Period costumes or everyday costumes? BUDGET All shows need to have an estimated budget. Please note that if you need more than your budget the board will have to approve the extra spending. The producer is in charge of keeping track of how much money you have spent.
